“I have worked with Valerie Fahren for the last seven years and I truly believe that there is no better vocal coach in the country. She has an amazing ability to discover talent, nurture it, groom it, and turn her students into stars. All of her students are constantly working.

“I always attend her singing and performing showcases, and as a result have represented many of her students – the first one I represented went onto to star on Broadway, and another is currently on a hit WB series.

“I highly recommend her classes, Showcases, and Vocal Competitions.”

I will accept any student who simply realizes that there are things they need to learn and they are willing to work hard to achieve their goals. They also need to realize that there is time involved (it doesn’t happen overnight), and that they have the ability to improve. I want students that are optimistic about achieving their goals.

What makes me different from other teachers is that I know and understand the basic techniques involved in singing well. Knowing which of the basic techniques each person is missing, so that he or she can remedy it, is the key to progressing quickly. I treat each person individually. I’m not a “cookie cutter” teacher. Each person has their own areas they want assistance with, unique to them.

Valerie’s Philosophy of
Vocal Coaching

What gives me the most satisfaction is seeing my students really winning in their careers and in their lives, and seeing them achieve their goals. I enjoy working with beginners and seeing them start from no experience to sounding like a professional singer in a short period of time.

I truly care about all my students individually, so I take the time to find out what they really want to achieve — and then I work to achieve that for them. I don’t put any limitations on them.

Dedication, commitment, and willingness to take direction is what is required of each for them to be successful.

“Before I came to Valerie Fahren, I thought I was mostly done with singing. My voice had changed and I couldn’t sing any of the notes I was easily able to before. I was frustrated with this, because I loved to sing. After I started to work with Valerie, my voice immediately started becoming better and I started to look at singing as a career I could get into. She helped me develop the skills I needed to not only sing professionally, but how to present myself as a professional. She also introduced me to the right people so this could all come about.

“Now when I have meetings or auditions, I know what to do and feel confident. Without Valerie, I would only be singing at a minimal amount. Now, not only is my singing incredible, but I have performed in front of industry professionals, worked with industry professionals and am songwriting, recording, dancing, and playing the guitar.

“Working with Valerie on his vocals for over a year, Bosko credits Valerie with helping to increase his range, quality and strength of performance.”
Singer and Platinum Producer/Songwriter, Bosko Kante, has two tracks on Kevin Federline’s album. The multi-talented Bosko produced and performed the vocals on “K. Fed’s” first single, Privilege. The two performed on The Tonight Show and Bosko received rave reviews.

“Val worked with me from start to success, working bit by bit and adding each new part as I learned the last, just like it should be. I worked with Valerie two or three times per week and within the shortest period of time, I booked more shows than I could handle, including Broadway shows, booked all the way from LA! In short, the sky was the limit, and anyone who hears of me learns to quickly associate me with great singing. I really do owe her so much for her help.”
Miles Alden
“I am a great singer! I can say that now thanks to my vocal coach Valerie Fahren. I have been on Broadway, on tour and am currently in a hit show here in LA… but it is only since I’ve been working with Valerie that I’ve truly begun to find my voice.

“I’m what one might call a reluctant singer… if that makes sense. I’ve loved to sing for years, but never had any real confidence in my ability. Since working with Valerie I have a newfound certainty in myself and my ability… which, in and of itself, makes a difference in vocal quality. In my two months as her student, I have increased my range, improved my breathing and stamina, and have learned techniques that have kept me vocally healthy through colds and vocal exhaustion.”

Nayo Wallace
“Valerie Fahren is hands down the best voice teacher I have ever worked with. For the first few years I was in Los Angeles, I floated from teacher to teacher and never saw much of an improvement. Within weeks of studying with Valerie, I saw fantastic gains and my voice felt better than ever. It was such a huge relief to find someone who actually knew what they were doing. My voice is very important to me and since it is such a delicate instrument. It’s essential that I work with someone as caring as Valerie.”

Andrew Leeds
“The results I have gotten with Valerie are nothing short of amazing. Just ask the people who knew me four years ago, when I didn’t sing a note. Now, I’m singing opera, and constantly being asked to sing at events. After one event last year, one woman demanded that I record an album so she could buy it! And after singing in my acting class recently, my acting teacher (a professional singer for more than 30 years) said that the change in my voice in two years is ‘extraordinary.’”
